FPdc: Yam over, insert hook from front to back to front around post of stitch indicated and puli ip a loop, (yam over and puli through 2 bops on hook) two times.
Base md, each side: Multiple of 2 + 1 comer sts.
Begi n 2 sts to left of comer st
Rnd 1: Ch4 (counts as dc and ch-1), skip 1 st *[dc in next st ch 1, skip 1 st] to corner, (dc, ch 1) three times in corner st skip 1 st rep from * around, join with slip st to 3rd chof ch4.
Rnd 2: Ch 3 (counts as dc), dc in same st, *2 dc in each dc to comer st, 6 dc in comer st, 2 dc in next dc; rep from * around, join with sli p st to top of ch-3.
Rnd 3: Ch 1, *sc in next st FPdc in next st rep from * around, join with slip stto first sc. Fasten off.
tip
The easy (dc, ch 1, skip 1 stitch) used in Round 1 of this border is a great way to delineate and begin many edgings. t works on any odd numberof stitches, and it even looks great all by itself.
