GRAMMAR

ADJECTIVES

Adjectives arę placed before nouns and agree in gender, case and number with Ihe noun to which they rcfer. The singular endings arc as follows: -y for masculine, - a for feminine, - e for neuter. In the plural there are only two forms, masculine personal for men only and generał for women, children, animals and things of all three genders.

Notę that last names ending in -ski,- ska, -cki, - cka, so often used in Polish, are declined according to the pattem wielki.
