Other Dangers to be Ayoided
Thrcc dangers remain. One is the cutting out of inside form, between rhc lcgs for instance, before the outside shapes have been decided. We have probably all scen legs looking like pieces of string because not enough wood was left on the outside whcn rhc spaccs between were cut or drillcd out. Notice how rhe piercing between the lcgs left plenty of waste. They were gradually refined so that they fitted to the body in the right way but also so that they were kept strong unril the last (see Figs 11.10-11.14, and Figs 11.16-11.23).
