In this chapter, I will showyou some examples of smali cards. They are attractive cards madę using scrap pieces of paper. Also use all the leftover sections and pieces ofpatterned paper. Allow your imagination to run wild with these smali cards.
This is also a good chapter for using up all the loose eyelets and to practice the different technigues. Use these cards when sending flo-wers orapresent.
Card 1
Card: red 517 • Fun eyelets: gold • Pale yellow gel pen
Stick template 2 on red card. Emboss four squares and the eyelet hole in the middle. Move the template and emboss another four squares and the eyelet hole in the middle. Move the template for the last time and emboss two triangles and mark holes for the eyelets. Cut out the entire shape and fold it into an envelope (see the diagram on page 32). Draw some backstitches. Make holes and punch eyelets into the envelope. Punch eyelets through one layer of card on the flap and through two layers of card for the rest of the envelope.

Card 2
Card: birch green 305 • Paper: crimson 549 •
Fun eyelets: dark pink
Take a piece of birch green card (7 x 14 cm) and fold it double into a smali card. Stick template 4 on the front of the card and emboss the star, the lines and the eyelet holes. Cut out the sections and mark holes for the eyelets. Take a piece of crimson card (6.5 x 6.5 cm) and stick it inside the card. Make holes and punch eyelets into the card.
Card 3
Card: mango 575 • Eyelets: green and orange • Green gel pen • Beads: green • Green embroidery thread Make the mango card as described for the green card above. Stick the same template on the card, but this time use the hexagon. Mark holes for the eyelets and the beads. Draw some backstitches. Make holes and punch eyelets into the card. Embroider the beads and the thread onto the card.

Card: lobster red 545 • Paper: yellow 275 and red 517 • Fun eyelets: red • Eyelets: yellow snów star Make a lobster red double card (9x9 cm).
