Hydrometer

AHYD ROM ETER is an instrument . that measures the density of liquids. If you place a hydrometer in a Container ofliquid, it will float. The le\el at which it floats depends on the density of the liquid. The lov%er the density of the liquid, the farther it will sink. If the liquid’s density is high, the hydrometer will float at a higherlevel. On the side of the hydrometer there is a scalę that you can read against the le>el of the liquid’s surface. This reading gives you the liquid’s exact density.
