We suggest that you do the exam tasks in tnÄ™ Stucents' Boo^n^nencontinu^^on^ifrHn^anguag^^ Builder. as it offers morÄ™ exam strategies and exam practice. Before Ihe students try to complete an exam task, they can read the Exam summary box, which provides an explanation of a given task in Polish. together with some useful tips on how to approach it. Then comes a short section that puts the previousty presented tips into practice. followed by the Exam practice section. This section is divided into two task types: introductory tasks and exam tasks. The introductory tasks teach students how to approach an exam task effectively and use graded exam tasks. The exam tasks are complete exam exercises.
The audio materiał for the workbook exercises is recorded on the Audio CD, attached to each copy of the Language Builder.
The Grammar Booster section of the Language Builder is divided into units which correspond to the units in the Students’ Book. Each unit begins with a single-page Grammar summary in Polish which contains exampie boxes and simple rules. This is followed by exercises to provide further practice of the individual grammar items in that unit.
In addition to this introduction, the Teacher’s Book contains step-by-step teaching notes arranged around reduced size Students’ Book pages. In addition to the teaching notes, there are boxed Answer keys for the Students’ Book exercises where relevant. and Background notes for cultural or linguistic points. Suggestions for optional extra activities and further work are aiso included.

They are designed to test specific grammar structures, vocabulary and functional language in the refevant lesson of the Students’ Book. Each test should last fifteen minutes

The Motivator is dh/ided into units which correspond to those in the Students’ Book Each unit contains photocopiable activities for every A. B and C lesson in the Students’ Book. plus two Roundup activities which revise the language from these three lessons.
The purpose of the Motivator is to provide extra, Ih/ety, stimulating materiał for students to use in class, possibły towards the end of a lesson. The materiał is a mix of puzzles, problem-solving exercises and infonmation gap activities. Some are designed for the student to do individuaJly and some for pairwork. The exercises are highly visual and include authentic materiał types (e.g. maps, menus, notices and signs). In addition, at the back, there is a collection of pop songs, each with one or two activities. Teaching notes with integrated Answer keys are to be found at the back of the Motivator.
The Class audio CDs contain all the recorded materiał from the Students’ Book, plus the songs from the Motrvator.
The Students’ CD-ROM. which is attached at the back of each Students’ Book. is a setf-access resource for each student to use on a Computer either at home or in school. It is an amusing and motivating way to practise language and may be especialfy useful for those students with leaming differences. It contains 12 units to practise the materiał in the corresponding 12 Students’ Book units. There are approximateły 10 practice exercises m each unit, covering grammar, vocabulary and functional language.
Each unit finishes with two Review exercises. revising the key grammar and vocabulary content of the unit. Students can look at their Grammar scores and fdlow a cross referencing notę to other components of the course. (e.g. ‘Have you got problems with grammar?

Each Students’ CD-ROM also contains video extracts. with accompanying exercises.
The Test Master CD-ROM provides 12 two-page photocopiable tests. one for each unit. These test the language contained in the input lessons (i.e. lessons A, B and C) of the relevant Students’ Book unit. They test grammar, vocabulary and functional language, induding the phrases from the Exam link: phrases boxes where possible.
Exam & Skills tests are administered every two units. They contain typical exam tasks testing reading,
