Managing the Online Redo Log

The online redo log files arc a critical component in database rccovcry. Evcry transaction in the database updatcs the redo logs, regardless of whether archiving is cnabled. During crash, instance, or media rccovcry, the database properly applies redo log files in ascending order by using the log scquence number of the necessary archived and redo log files.
