Font Program Organization

A font program written in the PostScript language is a program that is an organized collection of procedures describing character shapes. Elements of this collection are accessed by character codę with theshow operator, as described in thePos/Scr/pf Language Reference Manuał. Different font programs contain different amounts of diverse information, this information is collectedinto a dictionary. The dictionary contains required and optional entries, and is the data object that the PostScript interpreter ref- erences for all font operations.
