New report stresses the role of buildings when fighting climate change

Some highly renowned organisations teamed-up to provide businesses and policy makers around the world with a short summary of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change 's Fifth Assessment report, focusing on buildings. The document is one of a senes of thirteen, giving a comprehensive overview of the newest climate science data targeted to decision makers in governments and the industry.

According to Peter Graham, GBPN's Executive Director, "this report is a timely reminder that we urgently need to scalę up available advanced policies and technologies. Mainstream adoption of net-zero energy standards for new buildings; morę and deeper energy renovation of existing buildings; a price on carbon and better access to carbon-financing; investing in education and capacity building - are all measures we have piloted and proven to work and now need to be scaled up." >> Download the studv
