2. POWER SYSTEM STABILITY
Power system stability is defined as the capability of a system to maintain an operating eąuilibrium point after being subjected to a disturbance for given initial operating conditions [4]. Power system stability is categorized based on the following considerations:
i. The naturę of the resulting instability modę indicated by the observed instability on certain system variables.
ii. The size of the disturbance which conseąuently influences the tool used to assess the system stability.
iii. The time margin needed to assess system stability.
The classification of power system stability as shown in Fig. 1

3. SWING EQUATION
The swing eąuation govems the motion of the machinę rotor relating the inertia torąue to the resultant of the mechanical and electrical torąues on the rotor i.e.[5]
