Contemporary Szczecin - ahistorical transborder agglomeration?
The article offers a review of opinions on the emerging phenomenon of the Polish-German neighbourliness. In this context special attention is paid to the self-understanding of the Szczecin University’s anthropology students, who are both the investigators and the investigated. The data was collected on the territory directly bordering with Poland - the districts of Uecker-Randow and Uckermark. The shift of the anthropological focus onto the local anthropology students was inspired by the generał research carried out within the ffamework of the project “Ethnography of the emerging Polish-German bor-derland” in 2008-2011.
