Notes on Table A2.1 and A2.2:

1. Where resilient floor materials are used, the materiał must be selected to provide the necessary sound insulation under the fuli rangę of loadings likely to be encountered in that room and must not become over-compressed, break down or suffer ffom long-term ‘creep’ under the higher loads likely to be encountered. Where large ranges of loading are encountered, or where there are high point loads such as pianos, heavy furniture or operable partitions, the pad stiffness may have to be varied across the floor to take account of these.
