About Neutron Damage?
Recent studies suggest that the unique configuration of the Gamma-X Detector -which, unlike all other types of coaxial Ge detectors, is madę from n-type materiał - results in superior resistance to neutron radiation damage.
The new Gamma-X™ Detector allows analysis of both gamma-rays and x-rays simultaneously from the same source. The high efficiency of a conventional Ge coaxial detector has been com-bined with the sensitivity of a Iow energy photon spectrometer (LEPS).
The Gamma-X offers a large volume of special high-purity n-type germanium with a rugged, ultra-thin ion-implanted outer contact. High efficiency and sensitivity over a broad energy rangę of photons is the benefit.
The net result of these innovations is a single detector that does the work of two - with savings in space and shielding. And, like other high-purity germanium detectors, it is also cyclable to room temperaturę.
Tell us about your application. We’ll tell you what the Gamma-X Detector can do for you.
