Strange laws
Around the world there are many laws that are quite strange. For example, in Utah in the USA you (1) mustn't / don't have to hunt whales. But the police (2) don't have to / must worry too much as Utah is more than five hundred miles from the sea!
In Thailand you (3) can / mustn't step on money - it's illegal. If you see money on the ground, you (4) can't / have to walk around it. I don't know if you
(5) can / don't have to pick it up and put it in your pocket!
In Switzerland you (6) don't have to / mustn't flush your toilet after 10pm because it is too noisy. But in Singapore you (7) must / mustn't flush the toilet and you can be fined $500 if you don't. So people who travel a lot (8) have to / don't have to be very careful to remember which country they are in.
Some of the funniest laws are to do with driving. In Denmark you (9) must / mustn't start your car if someone is underneath it. So you (10) can't / have to look under your car and check before you drive. I just don't understand why someone would be lying under your car!
