Instailation

Instailation

1.    Ensure timing marks aligned [7].

2.    Fit timing belt to crankshaft sprocket.

3.    Fit timing belt lower cover [11 ].

4.    Fit crankshaft pulley [9],

5.    Tighten crankshaft pulley bolts [3]:

o A4: 10 Nm + 9CT. Use new bolts. o A£: 40 Nm.

6.    Ensure timing marks aligned [6].

7.    Fit timing belt in following order:

o Water pump sprocket. o Tensioner pulley. o Camshaft sprocket.

NOTĘ: Ensure belt is taut between sprockets on non-tensioned side.

8.    Remove locking pin [14].

9.    Remove nut and stud [12] & [13].

10.    Tum crankshaft two turns clockwise.

11.    Ensure timing marks aligned [6] & [7].

12.    Install:

o Timing belt centre cover [10], o Timing belt upper cover [5].

13.    Install components in reverse order of removal.

14.    Push front panel back into place. Remove support guides No.3369 [3]. Fit bolts.

15.    Tighten bolts [2]. Tightening torque:

o A4: 45 Nm. o A£: 50 Nm.

16.    Tighten bolts [1]. Tightening torgue: 10 Nm.
