The American school year isn't very long. There are two semesters and each semester has two periods. At the end of every grading period we get a report card from our teachers. American students are lucky because there are many holidays and vacations in the school year. We get two weeks of spring vacation, two weeks of Christmas vacation and three months of summervacation!

With Homecoming just around the corner, it is a good idea to think about where to go out to eat for the special night. Since Homecoming is a fun time to get out with friends, it isn’t necessary to spend a lot of money on eating. If Italian is your choice, we recommend The Garden and Pasta&Grill. Both carry a wide yariety of choices and provide romantic environment. Plan to spend at least S10 for most meals. If Italian doesn't suit your taste, the Rafaello and tost Cavalieros Mexican restaurants offer great meals. Average dinner price is $9 at both restaurants. Steakand chicken are often chosen for Homecoming. The Irish Steakhouse and Carpathia offer great meals and you can have your dinner for SI2. Another

popular place to choose for your Homecoming dinner is Jimmy's. It is an inexpensive place to eat with friends before the dance. Jimmy’s serves good meals for around S7. Whereveryou go, be surę you're back in time to enjoy the fun evening! Don't forget, the dance starts at 8:00 p.m.!
