SUBJECT: MOTOR-HAND PUMP DRIVE PIN AND CROSSOVER VALVE PRESSURE
RELIEF SETTING
The worm gear fitted to the armature shaft of the motor-hand pump (P/N 286483) is driven by a
pin pressed into a blind hole drilled in the shaft. In the event of this pin failing, the follow-
ing repair procedure is to be carried out.
The blind hole on the armature shaft is to be drilled completely through (see Figure 1 attached),
and the new pin (P/N 2008187) is to be fitted to the shaft and secured in the hole with HCE-
106, P/N 340419 (e.g. Loctite R/C 680).
In conjunction with the fitting of the locking pin, the pressure relief setting on the crossover relief
valve (P/N 813112) should be verified as being 1450±50 psi, as shown in Figure 2 attached.
INTERCHANGEABILITY:
The new pin is directly interchangeable with the old, once the hole has been drilled fully through.

WHEN GEARMOTOR IS ASSEMBLED ADJUST VALVE AS FOLLOWS:
PLACE A PRESSURE GAUGE IN THE CYLINDER LINE MARKED “P”
(GAUGE VALUE 0-170 BAR, 0-2500 psi)
REMOVE THE VALVE CAP (AT BACK OF INSTALLED UNIT) USING A 5/16 INCH ALLEY KEY.
WHILE TURNING THE STEERING WHEEL AND WITH THE WHEELS FULLY LOCKED RIGHT,
READ THE PRESSURE GAUGE.
ADJUST THE PRESSURE RELIEF VALVE USING A SCREWDRIVER UNTIL THE GAUGE READS
90 ± 3.5 BAR (1305 ± 50 psi).
NOTE: WITH THE VALVE CAP REMOVED, THE PRESSURE MAY READ LOW BY 10 BAR.
CONSEQUENTLY WITH THE CAP FITTED, THE PRESSURE SHOULD READ 100 BAR (1450 psi).
