Explain the purpose of mono-plotting. What inputs do you need?
Answer
The purpose of mono-plotting is: to enable the derivation of accurate positions
from an aerial photograph in a specific map projection in case of significant relief
differences. The inputs needed are:
1. A (digital) image,
2. A DEM stored in the required map projection system, and
3. At least four Ground Control Points.
