Patient position:
Sitting or supine, with the wrist stabilized in
neutral (avoid full extension). The
metacarpophalangeal joints of the 2nd
through 5th fingers are extended with the
interphalangeal joints relaxed.

Examiner pressure:
Against the dorsal surfaces of the proximal
phalanges in the direction of flexion.
