Pricing
Providing the performance, communication and the flexibility
required for demanding applications. The 1395 Digital DC drive
employs advanced microprocessor technology which can provide the
performance, communication and flexibility required for demanding
applications. Parameters are stored in EEPROM to provide precise
digital accuracy and repeatability. The drive may be programmed
from a hand held or door mounted programming terminal. Different
interface boards are available depending upon your application.
The 1395 Standard Drives Program. The 1395 Standard Drives
Program offers basic drive modules from 1 to 600 HP in both regener-
ative and non-regenerative configurations. The standard hardware
offering consists of an open type enclosure, incoming line overcurrent
protection devices, armature converter, field converter, DC contactor
and regulator boards. Medium range controllers include a DC contac-
tor, 3 auxiliary contacts (one N.O. and two N.C.), and an optional
auxiliary contact as standard. Specialized adapter boards allow the
drive to communicate with an Allen-Bradley Programmable Control-
ler, discrete devices (such as pushbuttons and potentiometers), and
analog signal devices.
Bulletin 1395 QuickShip Program. This is a special selection of cat-
alog items held in a minimal stocking program designed to help those
customers with a critical need.
The 1395 Pre-Engineered Drives Program. The 1395 Pre-Engi-
neered Drives program provides the same basic hardware as the stan-
dard drives program, but with an expanded list of factory installed
options. Product definition for order entry is still accomplished by a
standard catalog number.

Standard Drives Program
Catalog Number Code Explanation
An explanation of the catalog numbering system for the 1395 DC
drives and their options for 1 – 200 HP is presented here:
1. BULLETIN NUMBER
The Allen-Bradley reference number identifying the type or product
family.
2. DRIVE RATING and TYPE
A group of four characters coded to indicate the input voltage and
the output power rating and power structure.
If the first character is A it indicates = 230V AC, 50/60 Hz 3 phase,
AC Line Fuses.
If the first character is B it indicates = 460V AC, 50/60 Hz 3 phase,
AC Line Fuses.
The second and third characters indicate the power rating of the
drive.
For example; 63 = 2 HP, 64 = 3 HP, 65 = 5 HP.
The fourth character represents the power structure type:
N = Non-Regenerative; No character = Regenerative
Refer to page 255 for a complete listing of the drives rating.
3. CONTACTOR TYPES
The third group represents the contactor type, standard type or
contactor with DB pole for dynamic braking in specific ratings.
For Example; C1 = Standard contactor for 15 HP 230V
For Example; D2 = Contactor DB pole for dynamic braking for
40 HP, 460V.
Refer to pages 254, 255 and 256 for a complete listing of the drives
rating.
4. OPTIONS
All additional characters indicate drive options that were originally
installed at the factory. Each option code is added to the catalog
number:
PZ = Less Adapter Boards
P10 = Discrete adapter board 115V AC
P11 = Discrete adapter board 24V DC
P12 = Digital reference adapter 24V DC
P50 = Node adapter board
P51 = Multi Communication Adapter Board
X1 = Auxiliary Contact
5. REVERSING
All reversing applications will require a regenerative 1395.

1. BULLETIN NUMBER
The Allen-Bradley reference number identifying the type or family
of products.
2. DRIVE RATING and TYPE
A group of four characters coded to indicate the input voltage and

remote current indication:
EN = No Shunt Supplied
E1, E2 and E3 = The shunt for a certain horsepower rating.
4. OPTIONS

installed at the factory. Each option code is added to the catalog
number and separated by a dash:
P30 = Less Adapter Boards
P31 = Discrete adapter board 115V AC
P32 = Discrete adapter board 24V DC
P12 = Digital reference adapter board 24V DC

P51 = Multi Communication adapter board
X2 = Lug Kit (Compression type for AC power and DC armature
output)
