Patient position: supine or long sitting

Apply one end of the Kinesio Tex to
the lateral aspect of the head of the
5th metatarsal.

Dorsiflex and invert the ankle joint
while stabilizing the base of the tape
to increase tissue tension.

Apply the tape posterior to the lateral
malleolus.

Peel the Kinesio Tex from the paper
liner and place the tape temporarily
on the skin. Do not activate the glue
by rubbing.

Apply the rest of the tape along the
path of the fibularis (peroneus)
muscles and attach to the fibular
head.
