The development of tourism, both in
the global and local, is determined
by many factors, but it is the natural
qualities are an essential element of
the tourist supply.
The natural environment is an essential
resource for the tourism industry.
Eco Tourism
Tourism involves social responsibility,
seriously committed to nature. Eco
tourism development meets the needs of
modern tourists and regions, while
preserving and expanding opportunities
in the future. It has lead to management
so as to meet the needs of economic and
social.
Examples of eco-tourism in the world
Galapagos Islands in
the Pacific
Galapagos islands combine
with the unique beauty of
the landscape of wild
natural world, tourism in
the area subject to strict
control.
Visiting
the
islands is possible only
with
a
licensed
and
qualified
guide.
The
islands are bound by strict
rules of the Galapagos
National Park and the
tourist traffic is limited.
Ecological footprint
The graph shows the ecological
footprint of several countries.
China’s footprint matches
global biocapacity while the
footprints of India, Indonesia
and Bangladesh are fully
sustainable. On the other
hand, the USA’s footprint of
9.4 gha is surpassed only by
the United Arab Emirates.
Australia and Canada both
have footprints over 7 gha. In
simple terms, their
populations require more than
three times their fair share of
the world’s biocapacity.
