Movie for broad-band (300kbps)
Patient position: supine with the back
extended (ask patient to take a deep
abdominal breath).
Apply the base of the first strip of the
Kinesio Tex to the xiphoid process
with no tension.
Stabilize the base of the Kinesio Tex.
Pull the central portion of the tape
with light (25%) available tension and
apply the other end to the superior
aspect of the umbilicus. Apply the
distal end of the Kinesio Tex with no
tension.
Tear the paper backing away from the
central portion of the tape, leaving the
backing on the tails.
Holding the Kinesio Tex by the tails,
pull the central portion of the tape with
light (25%) available tension and
apply the central portion of the tape
perpendicular to the central portion of
the first strip of the Kinesio Tex Apply
the ends of the Kinesio Tex with no
tension.
Completed Kinesio Tex application
