8. What is Eisteddfod? Where is it held?
It is a national music and literary festival held each summer (August) in Wales to promote Walsh language, literature, music, dance and customs. It takes place in Llangollen.

SOUTH- most heavily populated region, coalmine, high proportion of industrial villages, now other forms of employment has been slow.
NORTH- mountains (communication between south and north is very difficult). There are woods and green hillsides, waterfalls, streams.
