When printing certain files to the Fiery, some images are sized incorrectly, placed in the wrong locations, the entire images are missing and/or the job doesn't print and the Fiery crashes and reboots by itself.
Steps to reproduce |
1-PWL9N:- When printing certain files to the Fiery images are sized incorrectly & placed in the wrong locations
1-PWLA3:- When printing certain files to the Fiery the entire images are missing.
1-PWLAJ: - When printing files to the Fiery, the controller will reboot. The file will be stuck in hold queue.
Launch CWS and connect to the Fiery.
Go File-> Import-> Job… and pick .PS file that has complex images and texts.
Print this job.
<Result> images are missing or print incorrectly or the job doesn't print and the Fiery crashes and reboot by itself.

Download/Import the patch file “1-PWL9N.ps” with Command Workstation to the “Direct” queue.
You must wait at least 60 seconds after the patch file downloaded/imported before rebooting the system. This will ensure the patch file is completely processed.
Please select “Shut Down” and then “Reboot System” on the Fiery LCD. If your Fiery does not have an LCD, choose Windows Start / Shut Down / Restart.
Please wait until the Fiery has come to idle and print out the configuration page.
Verify the Update Info section. It should contain the patch number “1-PWL9N”.
Known Issues |
After the Fiery has been rebooted from the LCD, the Fiery might hang. If the Fiery hangs please power cycle the system.
