TAKE OVERS -- 1 v 1 (+1) |

Three players combine to make A Takeover to complete a successful Attack against One Defender. Practice involves a good first pass - good control to receive - movement |

Players play in a 15 x 12 metre grid
|
|
1. Zone Player plays to one of two wide receivers - reds |
2.Wide Receiver Controls ball and takes ball ( dribbles ) towards other wide team mate |
3. Both players draw defender in |
4. When all three players are very close - attacker can execute a takeover - OR Not |

6. Exploit the Space - Accelerate |

Good Pass, Control, and Decision to come inside - based on first touch |
Other attacker - keep your distance - - give defender a problem - Switch off |
Avoid eye contact - disguise intentions - approach speeds up as the distance shortens |
Take the ball away (i.e. Takeover) comfortably - but block defenders view |
