The most exciting moment of my life.
I work for the Navy. I have a been Naval officer since 1988. I am commanding officer of the minesweeper in the 9th Coastal Defence Flotylla. I would like to describe you the most exciting moment of my life. It was 27th Jenuary 1994, when I became a Commanding Officer of a ship. The ship was called ŚNIARDWY. She was a minesweeper. That day I got up at 5.30 became I could not sleep. I took a shower and drank a small coffee. After that I put on clothes, which my wife had prepared the day before. I left my home at about 7.00. The weather was batiful, so I went to work on foot. The ship was clean and the crew was dressed in full uniforms. The cook made a special dish and the mess boy prepared the mess. The crew stood on the stern deck and waited for the commander of the Flotylla. When the superior arrived the ceremony began. The boss gave a spech and delivered me the commanding officer's flag. Next I report ed my first report to my boss as a commanding officer of the ship. After that we went to the mess to have a small party. When the boss left my ship the signalman hoisted my flag the first time to the top of the most. In conclusion, I will never forget this moment because it is most important day in my military career.
