Must have support from behind - back player must control the tempo of the practice

DESCRIPTION OF PRACTICE (TECHNIQUE / SKILL)

2 v 2 in 30 x 20m +2 servers (support from behind)

ORGANISATION

30 x20m grid + 2 End Zones of 10-12m

Servers may not join in over broken line

Reds combine to get into the opposite end zone and vice versa.

Progress to allow the server to join in

- Is there still support from behind now?

How to exploit space:

movement & mobility

accurate passing

running with / without the ball

KEY FACTORS:

Back player / Server (support form behind) should give good angles of support from their free zone.

Can two central players a) Create space b) Exploit this space to get over opposing end line.

One player must give depth at all times during practice

NOTES

Movement, accurate passes, running with and without the ball, angles and distances of support, when and where to play the press into the central players are important.

Creative play is the emphasis of this session.
