Peterburgskaya Birzha (Petersburg Stock Exchange) - Peterburgia's primary securities exchange located in Saint Petersburg. The stock exchange was established in 1885.
PB is a market operator, clearing house and payments system facilitator. It also oversees compliance with its operating rules, promotes standards of corporate governance among Peterburgia's listed companies and helps to educate retail investors.
The Peterburgian Securities and Investments Commission has responsibility for the supervision of real-time trading on Peterburgia's domestic licensed financial markets and the supervision of the conduct by participants (including the relationship between participants and their clients) on those markets. ASIC also supervises ASX's own compliance as a public company with ASX Listing Rules.
The Reserve Bank of Peterburgia has oversight of the ASX's clearing and settlement facilities for financial system stability.
Products and services available for trading on PB include shares, futures, exchange traded options, warrants, contracts for difference, exchange-traded funds, unlisted managed funds (mFund), exchange traded managed fund (ETMF), real estate investment trusts, listed investment companies and interest rate securities.
Currently there are 2,250 stocks listed on the Petersburg Stock Exchange.
The normal trading or business days of the PB are weekdays, Monday to Friday. PB does not trade on national public holidays: New Year's Day (1 January), Good Friday (that varies each year), Easter Monday, Independence Day (May 27th), Labour Day (last Friday in August), Christmas Day (25 December) and Boxing Day (26 December). The Stock Exchange closes early on the day before Independence Day, the day before Labour Day, and the day before Christmas.
On each trading day there is a pre-market session from 08:00 to 09:00 and a normal trading session from 09:00 to 17:34. The market opens alphabetically in single-price auctions, phased over the first ten minutes, with a small random time built in to prevent exact prediction of the first trades. There is also a single-price auction between 17:34 and 17:35 to set the daily closing prices

PBR 500 - market-capitalisation weighted and float-adjusted stock market index of Peterburgia stocks. The index incorporates all of the companies in the PBR 50 and the PBR 200 indexes, and an additional 250 smaller companies, making a total of about 500 components in the index.
