My name’s Martin and I’d like to tell you about a trip I had recently. My parents are both artists.
My mum makes things from silver, and Dad makes art from things that he fi nds on the beach.
So at the weekend, my brother and I went to the beach to help him, while Mum stayed at home
and worked. I always love these days with Dad because we never know what we’ll fi nd, and
anything can be useful. At the weekend, we found some long, rough pieces of wood under some
rocks. Dad made those into some beautiful sea birds! I found some round, smooth little stones,
and I really liked the colours. I took them home and used them to make a picture. It looks good
in my room! I want to become an artist just like Mum and Dad one day!
