Tom was cycling home from school one day with his friend Matthew when a cat ran out in front
of him. He didn’t hurt the cat, but he fell off his bike. Matthew quickly stopped and got off his bike
to help Tom. Tom’s ankle looked badly injured, and Matthew thought maybe it was broken. He
got out his mobile phone and called an ambulance. When it came, it took Tom to hospital for the
doctor to have a look at Tom’s leg.
Luckily, the doctor said that Tom’s leg wasn’t broken, but that he had a sprained ankle. So he put
an ice pack on Tom’s ankle and later that evening Tom was allowed to go home. He had to rest at
home for a few days. That was brilliant – it meant he could watch all his new comedy DVDs!
