Tank Top

Materials:

­sport weight cotton yarn
­size E crochet hook

­three 1/4" buttons

Gauge:  5sc = 1 inch

Notes:  One rib = two sc rows

Special Stitches:  foundation slst/sc:  ch2, insert hook in second ch from hook, *yo, pull up loop onto

hook, yo and pull though one loop on hook, yo and pull through two loops on hook*.  Insert hook into 
base of stitch just made and repeat ** for as many stitches as require.

Tank top is worked from side to side in the back loops only BLO

1. Ch9, sc in second ch from hook and each ch across, ch1, turn.

2. Working in BLO in this and subsequent round, sc in each sc across, ch1, turn.
3­26.  Sc in ea sc across in BLO.  At end of row 26, ch1; turn work so you are now working in the ends 

of the rows.

1.Work two sc in the end of each rib across the top of the tank top; 26 sc, turn work so you are now 
working along the short end.

2. (Ch2, skip one, sc in next two) twice, ch2, skip one, sc in last sc, ch1, turn work so you are now 
working across the ends of the rows.  Three button hole loops made

3. Work two sc in the end of each rib across the bottom of the tank top; 26 sc, turn work so you are now 
working along the short end

4. Sl st in each st across the end of the tank top, turn work so you are now working across the top edge 
of the tank top

5. (Sl st, ch1)in the next four sc, sl st in the next sc, work six foundation slst/sc sts, skip next four sc, sl 
st in the next sc (ch1, sl st) in the next seven stitches.  Work six foundation slst/sc sts, skip next four sc, 

sl st in the next sc (ch1, sl st) in the remaining sc.  Fasten off.

Sew three buttons opposite button hole loops and weave in loose ends.
