Memory Wire Bracelet
Spring/Summer 2011 Pantone Colour Palette Trend - Rain Forest
Step 1:
Cut three pieces of
memory wire of the same
length (50cm to 60cm,
enough to make two and a
half turns around your
wrist). Make a link on one
end of each wire by curling
it inwards with round-
nosed pliers.
Step 2:
Thread half of one of
the wires with brown lustred
farfalle beads, and the other
half with brown lustred two-
cut beads, leaving 1cm free
at the unlooped end. Make a
link at this end as before.
String green lustred farfalle
beads along the second
piece of wire and form a link
at the end.
Step 3
Thread a selection
of rondells, round beads
and drops in different sizes
and colours onto the third
length of wire, mixing small
and large beads in a
random formation. Make a
link on the free end to
secure.

Step 4:
Put all three beaded
wires together and join the
links on both ends with a
jump ring.
Step 5:
Make a ball from 30,
6mm rondells in a selection
of colours, as follows: cut
50cm of beading wire,
string five beads, then cross
the wire through the fifth
bead and pull to tighten
(Fig.a). Thread another four
beads on one end of the
wire and cross the other
end through the fourth bead
of this sequence. Tighten
and pass the end closest to
the first circle through the
second bead of the first five
bead circle (Fig.b). String
three beads onto one length
nearest the second ring of
beads and cross the wire
through the last one. Pass
the end nearest to the first
bead circle back through
the bead next to the last
one just added. Repeat this
sequence two more times,
going around the first bead
circle (Fig.c)
Step 7:
Next, add two beads
and cross through the last
added bead. String the end
nearest to the four bead
sequence through the bead
closet to it. String three beads
and cross the wire through
the last added bead. Pass the
end nearest to this bead back
through the two beads next to
it (Fig.d). String two beads
and cross the wire through
the last added bead. Pass the
end nearest to this last bead
back through the two beads
next to it (Fig.e). Repeat this
step two more times. Finally,
thread on one bead and cross
the lines through it (Fig.f). By
now you should have a round
shape, and you can string the
remaining wire back into the
beaded ball.

Step 8:
Thread a seed bead
onto a head pin and insert
into a larger hole on the ball
between five beads. Pull it
out through a smaller hole
between three beads; the
seed stopper should keep
the head pin inside.
Step 9:
Trim the protruding
wire and form a plain loop,
then link the ball to one end
of the bracelet.
Step 10: Thread a fantasy
bead onto a head pin, trim
and loop, then attach to the
other side to complete.
DESIGNER´S TIP: Make it yours - the farfalle beads can be replaced by any other type of
seed bead, such as rocailles if you prefer. This bracelet can be made in any combination
of shades you like; check out the other new colour collections in Preciosa's spring/summer
2011 collection
