There are copies of this book floating around with the author's name

misspelled as 'Green'. Wikipedia's has it as 'Greene':

Joseph Lawrence Greene (1914-1990) was a science fiction editor and author,

best known for his role in creating the Tom Corbett television series and

writing the Dig Allen novels, both space adventures intended for boys. He also

wrote comic books and was an editor for the Grosset publishing house until

1972.
