1. Within Analysis Manager, expand the Module 18 database, expand the Cubes folder, right-click Warehouse, and then click Edit.
2. Right-click the Calculated Members folder, and then click New Calculated Member.
3. Type Margin in the Member Name box.
4. Expand the Measures dimension within the Data box, expand MeasuresLevel, drag Warehouse Sales to the Value expression box, type a minus sign (-), and then drag Warehouse Cost to the Value expression box.
5. Click OK.
6. Right-click the Calculated Members folder, and then click New Calculated Member.
7. Click Time in the Parent dimension list.
8. Click the Change button, click All Time, and then click OK.
9. Type 1998 versus 1997 Variance in the Member Name box.
10. Expand the Time dimension within the Data box, expand Year, drag 1998 to the Value expression box, type a minus sign (-), and then drag 1997 to the Value expression box.
11. Click OK.
12. Right-click the Calculated Members folder, and then click New Calculated Member.
13. Click Store in the Parent dimension list.
14. Click the Change button, click All Store, and then click OK.
15. Type USA + Canada Stores in the Member Name box.
16. Type the following text in the Value Expression box:
Sum({[Store].[Store Country].&[USA],
[Store].[Store Country].&[Canada]})

17. Click OK.
