Heart allograft vasculopathy (AV) causes progressive ischaemia and graft failure. SAECG detects slow conduction. Is there an association between SAECG changes in 1 year follow-up and development of AV in the future?
66 HT pts. underwent coronarography (C) 2 years after HT (11 F 55 male. age: 47 ± 11 y) were classified as positive for AV (AV+) (17 pts-25%) or negative (AV-) (49 pts-75%). SAECG were obtained 1 month after HT (0) and at 1 year afterwards (1). We computed separately for 0 and 1 SAECG parameters: QRSd, RMS40 ms, LAS. Individual differences for SAECG parameters between 1 and 0 were compared. Comparisons were made between SAECG parameters for TV+ and TV- pts. All SAECG parameters evaluated significantly over time (p<0,001). Comparisons between TV+ and TV- pts showed significantly (p<0,03) greater widening of QRSd in TV+ pts.
Conclusions:
Parameters of SAECG evaluate after HT.
Changes in QRS duration are faster in TV+ patients.
