N1: Once upon the time in the far away land, a king had a lovely baby daughter. She was born
on a snowy day, and the king said:
K: Our daughter is as beautiful and wonderful as each falling snowflake. We shall name her
Snow White.
N2: Sadly, the queen died while SW was quite young.(otrzeć łzę)
N1: Some years later, the king decided to marry again.
K: She will be your new stepmother, SW; I m sure you and she will get along quite well.
(the queen looks in a small hand mirror)
N1: The new queen was a powerful magician. She was evil and vain as well. Everyday she
would ask her magical mirror:
N2: Looking glass upon the wall, who is the fairest of us all?
M: You are the fairest!
N2: And the queen was very happy.
N1: But when the queen came to live with the king and SW, the mirror s answer changed.
Q: Looking glass upon the wall, who is the fairest of us all?
M: SW is the fairest!
N2; The queen got very angry!!!!!!!!
Q: She will not be the fairest in the kingdom for long. Huntsman! Come here!
H: Yes, your Highness.
Q: Take SW far into the woods. Then kill her there and run away.
H: Yhmmm (?) & Yes, your Highness
AKT II
(the scene in the woods) SW: What are you doing?
H; Oh, SW, your stepmother told me to kill you, but I cannot do it! She hates you because
you are more beautiful than she is!!!!!!!!
Oh, my poor SW, run away and do not come back!
SW: What about you?
H: Don t worry and never come back to your stepmother!
N1: After much wandering, SW came upon a small house. She knocked at the door, but no
one answered.
SW:(Knock, knock) I m so hungry and tired!
N2: SW was cold and tired, so she let herself in, saw 7 small beds, and went to sleep. She
didn t hear the dwarfs coming back home.
D1-7 (They sing 1 little, 2 little , 3 little diamonds, 4 little etc.)
Ooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
N1: The dwarfs were very surprised to see SW on their beds.
D1: Who is she?
D2: Why is she here?
D3: What is she doing here?
D4: Shhhhhhhhhhhhh! Be quiet!
N2: SW opened her eyes and was a little scared looking at them.
SW: Who are you?
D1-7: We live here. It s our house!
SW: I can see you smile at me. I think we will be good friend. Can I stay here, please?
N1: SW told them about her father, bad stepmother and the huntsman. She promised to take
good care of the dwarfs and help them in the house, and they said:
D1-7: Yes, you can stay with us!
SW: Thank you all so much!
AKT III
N2: Now let s look what is happening in the castle?
Q: Looking glass upon the wall, who is the fairest of us all?
M: SW is the fairest! She lives with 7 dwarfs in the woods.
N1: With her magical powers, the Q put an evil spell on a silk ribbon. Then she changed into
an old woman and went to the little house in the woods.
Q: (Knock, knock) Good morning, my young girl. Do you want to buy something nice for
you? Look at this! Do you like it?
SW: Oh, yes. It s very nice. Here s your money. Good bye!
N2: SW tried on the ribbon and fell on the floor in a deep sleep.
N1: Luckily, the dwarfs came back and took the ribbon off. SW woke up.
D1: What happened?
D2: Who is this ribbon from?
N2: SW told them everything about the old woman. The dwarfs guessed it was the queen and
said:
D1: Don t open the door!
D2: Don t open the windows!
D3: Don t talk to strangers!
D1: Be careful of your stepmother. She must be a witch
N1: But the queen came again in a costume and SW forgot what the dwarfs told her.
Q: Good afternoon. Have a look at my apples! They are very tasty!
SW: I love apples! I m a bit hungry. Can I take one?
Q: Of course, help yourself.
N2: The apple was poisoned and when SW tried it, she fell on the floor.
N1: Soon, the dwarfs came.
D1: (podniósłszy jej głowę) SW, please, open your eyes, please!
D2: What can we do?
D3: It s the end. She will never wake again!
N1: The dwarfs placed SW in a beautiful glass box filled with snow-white flowers.
D1-7 Good bye, our dear SW.
N2: Just a prince on a white horse stopped to see what was happening
P: Ohhhhh, she is so beautiful. I must kiss her!. (Śnieżka się podnosi)
SW: Who are you?
P: I m a prince. You are the most beautiful girl in the world! I want to be with you forever!
Will you marry me???????
SW. Oh, my prince. With pleasure!
N1: the prince and SW rode away to his castle and lived happily ever after.
D 1-7 Hip, hip, hurray!!!!!!!!!!!
