You will start out most Warlords III games by getting a hero.
Heroes are a very important part of the game. As well as being
a tough unit in their own right, they provide bonuses for the
armies fighting with them.

Heroes have different classes. Your first hero in this Scenario
is a Warrior, but your next
hero may be a Priest, a Paladin, or one of the many other classes
available.

Your first hero is free. Any subsequent heroes will only join you for
money. So if you want another hero, start saving!

Later on, your hero will gain levels. But for now just 'Accept' your hero.
