Who needs traffic?

You know what I hate?
Peas. They make me want to vomit. Violently. Why? IDK. They're
gross.
You know what else I hate?
Working my tail off for a tiny bit of traffic to my
websites. That actually DOES make me vomit. (Well, not really,
but it sounded more dramatic to say it that way)
And the sad thing is - we all need traffic to make money online,
right?
But unless you're a bazillionaire who can afford a $99 X E^10
advertising bill (that's a really BIG number), the rest of us mere
mortals need to rely on free traffic methods.
But like all things in life, this comes at a cost. What doesn't cost in
money, costs in time, and so forth.
Gimme some benefits!
Ok, so here are some REALLY sweet benefits to this method I'm
going to share with you!
If you're as old as I am with IM (been doing this for 5 years now),
you will remember "da good ol' days!".
*Queue cheesy watery effect and use of whole-tone scale that signifies a
memory is being reminisced*
"Boy, I sure SCORED tonight!" I said.
"Really, awesome man! With that chick you've been trying to
get with?"

"Uh, with who?"

them tonight!"
"Uh...right..." The disgusted look on his face was priceless.

Seriously. Back in the day, you could write a 300 to 500 word
article, drop that bad boy at EzineArticles.com and score within
hours of it going live!
That, sadly, doesn't happen anymore. Google trout slapped that
puppy to oblivion and back.
So, with all that said, here is the MAJOR benefits of this method:

Ok, let's dig in!
The Traffic Spoke
Like a spokes on a wheel, this method is interconnected and when
utilized properly, it generates a good decent bit of content and it
doesn't take a lot of time to do.
In fact, the way it's structured, you write once and then
leverage that written content into 8+1 powerful traffic
sources.
Why 8 + 1? (In other words, why didn't I say 9?)
Well, it's because I'm a big nerd. You see, there is this video
game series called The Elder Scrolls. The game has its own set of
deities called the Nine Divines. Eight of them were gods from the
beginning, one - a man named Talos - ascended to godhead after
death.
Thus - 8+1.
Now, how in the hell does this relate to internet marketing?
Well, these 8 traffic sources are amazing, have been around for a
long time, and they all are free and easy to use.
However, the ninth one sets itself completely apart from the first
eight and is so powerful it can send you BUYERS (people who
have already purchased from you and made you money) and all
you did was post your content you've already written.
And you probably already know about it. But what I'm going to
teach you will revolutionize your thinking about content and how
you utilize it to drive traffic.
In fact, most of these resources you've already heard of - but the
method in which you utilize them streamlines the process.
Meaning that - you write ONCE, then leverage these 9
different resources in an efficient and powerful way.
In essence, you are repurposing your content to leverage 9
different traffic sources. (Article sites, doc sharing sites, video
sites, podcasts, and our powerful ninth divine!)
And it's super quick!
Content money miracle
method
Here is the basic, step by step, "overview" method you will be
doing:
1. Finding proper keywords to target.
2. Creating "the First" content. (This is the article that will be
repurposed for all others)
3. Utilize the Content Money Repurposing Method
4. Upload all the content to 8 traffic sources.
5. Rinse and repeat from step 2 until you get 5 to 10 pieces of
original content.
6. Utilize the Content Money Repurposing Method to those 5 to 10
pieces.
7. Upload the final piece of content to the 9th powerhouse traffic
source.
You can then redo steps 2 through 7 as many times as you wish.
The more, the more traffic.
However, the beautiful thing is, you don't need to write 10
articles a day.
You are just writing 1 to 5 a week. (That's like, one a day MAX)
The writing should take you no longer than an hour and the
repurposing should take you no longer than another hour or two.
This means that you will spend 3 hours MAX a day doing these
things. And that is only 5 days a week.
You may find you can get away with a lot less than this.
And I imagine a lot of you WILL find that you only need a few
hours a week before you start getting in the flood of traffic.
Regardless, this method is simple and easy.
So let's start at the top, with keyword research.
Keyword Research
I could go into detail about keyword research here, but luckily I
am blessed with already creating a powerful method for digging
up niches that also can help you dig up keywords.

The module you want to pay attention to is the Market Samurai
module.
BTW - Market Samurai is pretty much a requirement. You don't
need to purchase it, however, as the free version is enough to get
you started.

Anyway, what we are looking for is LONG TAIL keywords that has
a lot of traffic but not a lot of competition.
Tweak the filters in market samurai and dig for long tail keywords
in your niche. I recommend 3 or more words in your keyword.
Make a list of at least 5 keywords that fit the bill for your niche. If
you can get 10 to 15, that's better.
Unfortunately, there is no way to be more specific for these
keywords as each niche is different. Ranking is always a moving
target with Google.
Your best bet is to pick 5 to 10 long tail keywords that best fit your
niche and your target. Buyer keywords are best, if possible or
"how to".
Finally, you can use other keywords, as these traffic sources get a
lot of internal traffic and if you don't rank, then it may not matter
much anyway.
Writing the Money Magnet
Now we need to write up our first piece of content. I call this
content the "Money Magnet".
In case you've never heard the term before, they are things you
use to attract people to spend money with you.
A real life example of this is the free food samples at Wal-Mart or
Costco.
It's basically a sample of what you have to offer.
Now, for Infoproduct makers like me, that would be free reports
that would lead to my email list and then to paid reports and
products.
Perhaps for you that would be to amazon products, or CPA offers.
Regardless, the point is the same - these people are taken in by
your free content that they want to click to your site or
offer.
That right there is the key to this - you want to entice them to click
on, and be presold of, your offer.
That's one of the biggest benefits of these sites - the shear
preselling power!
And how do we do this?
We follow the Universal Underwear Money Method of
Content: "The Ah-Ha Factor"
This method is utilized across EVERYTHING that has to do with
content - free giveaway money magnets, paid products, and if
possible, your sales content (if you have it)
It goes like this:
If we get the reader/viewer feel like they have not only
LEARNED something, but have gotten IMMEDIATE value out of
it, they will consider us a trustworthy expert.
The key word here is "trustworthy" and "expert".
Trust is gained through 2 different ways.
1. The telling of stories that relate to the reader/viewer and their
situation.
AND/OR
2. Helping them solve a problem they previously had.
If you can do one or the other (or both), then they will likely trust
you for helping them out.
Becoming an expert in their mind is easy. You just tell them WHY
it works. You give them a big "I got it!" feeling in their head.
Luckily for us, this is extremely easy to do and I have a template
for you to follow and it goes like so:
1. Open up by telling a story that relates to them and
their needs. (This gets them emotionally invested in
what they are reading and they feel as if you
understand them)
2. Explain to them that you have tip or trick that will
help them.
3. Tell them how it will benefit them.
4. Tell them what it is.
5. Tell them why it works.
6. Invite them to come and check out your site for much
more!
Now, this method has been proven to work over and over and over
again.
Why?
Because it's based in human psychology and I call it the "because"
factor.
If you teach them a tip or trick that will help alleviate their
problem AND you follow up with a quick "why it works", their
brains automatically go "OH WOW".
A study was done, actually, about the because factor and you can
find it inside Cialdini's Book Art of Influence.
Summed up, when people are provided a short "because", they
immediately assume that the information before the "because" is
true.
The study took people who were waiting in line to use a fax
machine/copier. When someone cut in line, a LOT of people were
pissed off.
However, when people said "I'm sorry, I really need to use the
printer because..." most people didn't care! In fact, it didn't even
matter what the "because" really was.
They even tried it with "because I really need to use the printer".
The reaction people had with even that lame excuse proved the
point - using the word "because" and explaining it caused
people to be more likely to accept it.
There is one more factor we need to include - making them feel
like they can do it or ARE doing it in their head.
This is actually an old sales/marketing trick that works like
gangbusters. I learned it when I was selling cars.
You want to make the prospect (or in this case, the reader) feel as
though they are actually succeeding in whatever it is you are
selling them. (Or teaching them)
As they visualize it in their minds, they get excited about the
potential and if you can explain how easy it is to do, and they
accept it as true (which plays off the because factor), they then
realize they can do it and feel accomplished.
And you just helped them in their hour of need!
See how awesome this is?
This writing method has worked for me forever - and I discovered
it when I was writing at EzineArticles for my traffic.
But the same exact style works here - and it works extremely well.
Inviting Them To Your Site
I have found that it is best to "invite" them to your site in a non
salesy way.
You can say something like...
"Ok, so that is how you fix that problem.
Now, unfortunately that method will take some time - but I have
a way to speed it up. I don't have the space here to cover all the
details, but I do on my website.
I understand that you're a busy person, but if you have a few
minutes, then I invite you to check out my website, here ____,
and discover how you can take it a bit further.
And if you're too busy, that's fine! I'll still be here. Just make sure
you put this info to good use.
Again, here is my site ______.

Practical Advice
I'm going to cover each location, as well as how to repurpose, in
the section below.
However, there is some general advice that covers all locations
where you will drop your content.
1. 500 words or more.
Be sure to have some beefy content - remember, you are writing
just once, then submitting to lots of places. This is way more
powerful than tons of short articles (and it takes less time writing
1 bigger article than 10 smaller one) and is way more useful.
2. Make use of call to action
Don't be afraid to ask people to click on your link. Make sure
you prominently display it.
I don't see people doing this enough. They tend to be meek when
asking for the click - don't.
In my example above you can see how I invite them to check out
the site.
But that isn't the only way to use this. You can place links in other
parts of the articles (for the places that accept it) and say things
like "click here to check it out".
Content Repurposing Method
Ok, after we get our content, it's time to repurpose it and upload it
to the various sites.
I've structured this process so it's highly efficient - meaning it
will get done quickly.
Look at this graph:
As you can see from the chart, the process is powerful - 9+ traffic
sources, all working together to send you traffic.
Also, the process of repurposing and uploading is simple, efficient
and straightforward.
I'm going to cover, in detail, each resource and how you go about
repurposing the content for each site.
1. Scribd and Docstoc

Nothing really needs to be changed from your first writing. In fact,
you write specifically for these two resources.
The only thing you MUST do is this:
1. Put your link on a TITLE page, so the first thing they
see (and can click) is your link to your site. (It's
important to have a title page)
2. Be sure to put a BIG RED call to action at the end of the
document. They need to know that they can get more info on your
site.
3. Put links to your site throughout the document. Again, more
opportunity to get them to your site and unlike ezinearticles and
other article directories, you don't need to worry about where you
put the links.
2. Ezinearticles, Qondio, IdeaMarketers

This conversion is super simple. Simple remove the links from
your document and write up a "bio" at the end of the article. (Or,
you may have already written one up. If you used my example
above, you can copy/paste that section to your bio)
The bio goes at the end of the article. A lot of sites (like
ezinearticles) has a separate bio section. Just simply paste that
into the bio section and submit.
Note that it is the ONLY location you are allowed to put
self serving links.
Submit to the three resources above. They can all send you traffic!
3. Slideshow
Now we are going to begin by converting the document into the
video - but before we do that, we're going to stop by slideshare
and drop off that content to get more traffic.

Converting is super simple.
Open up a slideshow document (powerpoint/openoffice, etc.).
Take each paragraph in your article and turn it into a slide for
your slideshow.
Leave links intact.
You can also "pretty it up" by adding images and making it
interesting. (recommended actually)
This shouldn't take more than a few minutes to do.
4. Video

Other Video Sites
Ok, we got the slides made, right? Now is the easy part!
Get yourself a microphone and some screen capture software.
Read the slides off and produce a video.
Upload the video to youtube.
Simple!
This should only take a few minutes to do, since we already have
the article converted into a slideshow. So all we do is do a
voiceover recording and upload that puppy to youtube and other
video locations.
Be sure to drop your link in the description section as
well as over lay it at the end of the video!
5. Podcasting

Any podcasting site.
Itunes
Now that you are finished with the video, you can rip the video out
of it and have left over audio.
You can take this audio and upload it to tons and tons of
podcasting sites.
Itunes is the big one - but there are others. Be sure to drop your
link in the description section. (And, inside the video, be sure to
spell out the link so people can also type it into their browser bar)
6. Sell It!
This method is SUPER powerful and quick/easy to do. It sends
you actual buyers daily - it may be a small amount, but this traffic
source is NOT to be neglected.
It's also free and plugs right into this method.

You don't need to mess with reformatting your articles.
All you do is this: combined 5 to 10 articles. Make sure each
article covers a different tip/trick. (this is important)
Then remove the cover pages for each article, copy/paste them
together, and create a new cover page for the package.
Then name this something like "Ten Tips To..." "How to
Stop...With 5 Tips".
Format and upload to kindle/createspace.
Additional Hint:
To gain even more exposure, create a fiverr gig and sell your
ebook there.
That's It!
That's it for the offsite method.
I now want to share with you a SWEET way to get fresh daily
content on your website WITHOUT autoblogging, guest blogging,
or anything like that.
keep it fresh!
This method will keep your site fresh and you don't have to do a
lick of writing.
Also, this technique is "old" but surprisingly, I don't see
anyone really using it.
It's called "Community News" and you can easily add a
community news section to your blog.
What you do is this - install a simple plugin that allows users to
submit news in your niche. (you have complete editorial
control)
Then list your site in the community news directories (there are
TONS of sites that compile sites with community news sections)
and let people submit to your CONTENT!

Those are related to blog/web design, but there are others.
You can then post that content and it adds to a sidebar widget, in
which people can then go and read.
Google LOVE this interactive ability on your site. It allows you to
keep your site fresh with new content, and enables people to share
news stories and get more publishing power for their sites.
It's a win, win, win!
