MOWA ZALEŻNA ( REPORTED SPEECH )

O ile czasownik zdania głównego użyty jest w czasach: Present Simple, Present Perfect lub Future czasy występujące w mowie niezależnej pozostają niezmienione ( może się tylko zmienić osoba ).

He has said to me: “I am not going.”

He has told me (that) he is not going.

O ile czasownik zdania głównego użyty jest w czasie Past Simple, Past Continuous lub Past Perfect, to czasownik zdania wyrażonego w mowie niezależnej zmienia formę czasu zgodnie z zasadami następstwa czasów, a więc:

Must użyte dla wyrażenia teraźniejszości w mowie niezależnej zmieniamy w mowie zależnej na had to, np.:
