1. Skim through the article to find its main point. Try not to check the meaning of new words if it's possible.

2. Read the article again, very carefully, and try to answer these questions:

3. With your group start a discussion based on the piece of information from the article. Choose one of the topics below:

1. Would you like your child to be brought up by a nanny?

2. Is nanny's profession popular in your country? Why?

Speaking

1. Work in pairs. In this activity, Student A and Student B will each look at a different cartoon. The two are related in some way. You each have one minute to describe what your cartoon shows. (Don't show them to each other.)

Student A should turn to the cartoon on page 11.

Student B should turn to the cartoon on page 12.

2. When you are both finished, discuss:

1. What is similar about the situations and the problem in the two cartoons?

2. What are the differences?
