Aims of teaching methodology:
To develop in the listener under standing of the principles of human communication and verbal/non-verbal interaction(non-verbal:TPR,Silent way).
To get the listener acquainted with basic concepts, theories of language teaching and learning as well as with alternative teaching approaches: eclectic approach-use of the elements of different methods during the lesson, humanistic approach-conducting lessons in such a way so the S feel happy and eager to learn.
To provide the listener with a range of skills and techniques that could be effectively implemented in primary and secondary classes.
To assist the L to develop a personal teaching and interacting style, taking into account his self-perceived psychological and pedagogical strengths and weaknesses.
To enable the L to make decisions about which skills and actions are needed or relevant in given classroom situations(indiscipline, task is unmanageable).
To enable the L to evaluate, select, develop, adopt and exploit teaching materials and resources to their fullest potential.
To help the L develop the ability to evaluate and improve his own teaching through feedback techniques as well as trough the adaptation of tools of classroom observation, through self-evaluation and reflection.
To enable the L to read professional writing in the filed of methodology and apply the knowledge obtained in his practice.
To provide the L with metalanguage which will enable him to describe his own teaching practice.
To assist the L to prepare his own personalized learning plans for the future, because it is said “the teacher lives until he learns things himself, when he stops learning he dies as a teacher”.
