System planowania produkcji jest niezbędny, aby zapewnić, przebiegowi produkcji, maszynom,
sprzętowi, umiejętnością pracowników (produkcyjnym) (pracownikom) i materiały lepszą organizację i rentowność.
Jest wiele czynników, które należy uwzględnić w systemie planowania. Na przykład, firma może wymagać(potrzebować) wiele różnych czynników/składników (wielu etapów planowania). Również popyt może się zmieniać codziennie w tym ciągle zmieniającym się świecie. Nieustannie przychodzące nowe zlecenia (zamówienia).
