Sleeve: Method 1

Make a copy of the armhole

Select Direct Selection Tool click on the armhole line

Ctrl+C to copy, Ctrl F to paste it in front

Continue drawing linked to the line piece with Pen Tool

Method 2

Draw the sleeve with Pen Tool

Place the sleeve part behind the body part

Draw ribs: Method 1

Draw a curved stroke and place in the middle of the ”rib piece”

Set Stroke to have same width as the “rib piece”

V-mark dashed line og indstil fx: 1 pt in dash
and 2 or 3 pt in gap

If the rib fits poorly it can be necessary to make a Clipping mask:
Make a copy of the front piece. Place a line in the distance from neck opening that should be the width of rib piece (going outside front piece)
Open the Palette Window > Pathfinder

Activate both front and line piece

Vælg: Divide

Make another copy of the rib piece without fill and palce it on top of the rib stroke

Activate both and select: Ctrl + 7 (Object > Clipping mask > Make)
The cut out rib piece can now be placed on rib part on the working sketch
Ctrl + alt + 7 (deactivates the Clipping mask again)

Rib part can be given a fill colour if wanted.

Draw ribs: Method 2

Important; Rib brush should match the rib part in height.
Create 2 line pieces next to each other and group them: Place an invisible box
behind to frame the repeat and save it in brushes palette.
New brush (pattern brush) and finally Save Brush Library.
The brush can now be added to the stroke!
