The day I ran in the marathon.
I have never thought I made a decision about taking part in a marathon.
When I was a teenager I preferred playing the computer games to making some physical activities. It caused my overweight and problems with training during PE lessons. Not only did I have difficulties in exercising but also making friends. Nobody wanted to help me.
One day I saw on TV a marathon. I was admiring athletes’ stamina and determination. Then I said to myself that I wanted to be a runner the same like they. From that moment my life changed a lots. I took up jogging and exercising with my private trainer. What’s more I went on low-caloric diet and avoided products which were full of fat.
Two years of sacrifices prepared me perfectly to taking part in competition. The day I ran in the marathon was the best moment in my whole life. A lot of efforts and my determination to change my life was so strong that I have never been so satisfied and ready for competing. When I started running I was only thinking of the race and win. All the marathon I was repeating the trainer’s words that I couldn’t give up because I was strong and ambitious. That self-confidence helped me to run thirty kilometers. My parents were so proud of me and my physical skills.
Unfortunately, I didn’t take the first place in the contest but I became more popular at my school and it encouraged me to achieve my aims in the future.
