Sit of Archbishop of Canterbury (second important person in Church of England after the Queen)
Canterbury Cathedral - historically famous building, because of conflict between Henry II and Thomas Beckett. Beckett's tomb is in the Cathedral and it has been a place of pilgrimages.
“Canterbury Tales” - fist book in modern English. It described pilgrims (there are different museums with characters from Canterbury Tales)

DOVER - shortest distance between UK and continent (Dover-Calais).
