It is said that honesty is the best policy. Everyone should follow social, ethical and morał norms and keep one's word. We should not complicate anything while negotiating - we can refuse to answer some questions but lying is forbidden.

Is it worth being honest while negotiating? It is important to be honest because it has an influence on how we are perceived by others. If our interlocutor find out that we deceives him, he will not trust us any morę and it would be very difficult to rebuild his trust. Experienced negotiators use manipulating techniques which is very unfair, especially to someone who does not have evil designs against us and does not use any tricks or tactics. If someone is truthful and honest, people will perceive such a person as unblemished and credible.
