Engines with Carburetor
The Crankcase Ventilation System for a VW Beetle or Super Beetle is shown in the illustration.
Harmful pollutants in the engine crankcase are recirculated from the oil breather through a rubber hose to the air cleaner. These pollutants mix with the air/fuel mixture in the carburetor and are later burned in the engine.
