Removal instailation

Installation

1.    Ensure camshaft sprockets can tum on taper but not tilt.

2.    Ensure crankshaft locking tool fitted (2).

3.    Fit timing belt to camshaft sprockets.

4.    Fit locking tool to camshafts (3). Tool No.3243.

5.    Fit timing belt in following order:

o Guide pulley. o Crankshaft sprocket. o Tensioner pulley.

6.    Lightly tighten tensioner bolt (4). Ensure tensioner pulley can still be tumed by hand.

7.    Slide 23 mm diameter spacer between timing belt cover and belt [6].

3. Install torque wrench to hexagon of tensioner [5]. Tum tensioner clockwise to tension timing belt to 4 Nm. Tighten tensioner bolt simultaneously (4).

9. Remove torque wrench and spacer [6].

10.    Tighten tensioner bolt to 45 Nm (4).

11.    Tighten bolt of each camshaft sprocket to 70 Nm.

12.    Remove:

o Camshaft locking tool (3). o Crankshaft locking tool.

13.    Fit TDC sensor.

14.    Fit crankshaft pulley. Ensure notch aligned with tab on crankshaft sprocket [10].

15.    Install components in reverse order of removal.
