Installation

Installation

1.    Ensure each camshaft sprocket can tum freely on taper.

2.    Fit timing belt. starting at crankshaft sprocket. Ensure belt is taut between sprockets.

3.    Fit crankshaft pulley [11]. Tighten bolts fingertight [10].

4.    Fit crankshaft bolt [1], Tighten bolt fingertight. Lightly oil thread and contact face.

5.    Tum tensioner pulley [9] clockwise until tensioner damper length is 136-139 mm. Use wrench Matra V.159 [12]. NOTĘ: Engine must be COLD when checking length of tensioner damper.

6.    Tighten tensioner pulley nut [8]. Tightening torque: 25 Nm.

7.    Hołd camshaft sprockets. Use tool No.3036. Tighten bolts to 55 Nm [7].

8.    Remove locking tools [6]. Tool No.3341.

9.    Fit Hall effect sensor to LH camshaft. Ensure drive dog locates in camshaft [3], Tighten bolt to 20 Nm.

10.    Fit cover piąte to RH camshaft.

11.    Hołd crankshaft pulley. Use tool No.3197. Tighten crankshaft bolt [1]. Tightening torque: 450 Nm.

12.    Tighten crankshaft pulley bolts to 25 Nm [10].

13.    Tum crankshaft two turns clockwise. Ensure timing marks aligned [2].

14.    Check length of tensioner damper is 136-139 mm.

15.    If not: Repeat tensioning procedurę.

16.    Install components in reverse order of removal.

17.    Refill cooling system.
